DESCRIPTION: The HUSEL Field Hockey Club is an Elite Indoor Field Hockey Team focused on the development of high level individual skill execution, passing combinations, position-specific instruction and playing structures, and competitive game play. Our college commits include Harvard, Dartmouth, Hofstra, Bucknell, Bryant, and Longwood. We are USA Field Hockey 7x NIT Champions and the highest USA-ranked U14 club in Northern Virginia at #21. For NEW PLAYERS ONLY, we are hosting Spring Tryouts for membership into the Club for all age groups.

COACH JENNY: A resident of Northern Virginia, Jenny formerly played for the United States National Field Hockey Team and represented the US in international competitions such as The World Cup, New Zealand Test Series, and Japan 6 Nation Tournament. During college, she played midfield at Wake Forest University where she was a Division I All-American, All-ACC, Hall of Fame selection, and Academic All-American. She concluded her collegiate career with 76 goals and 186 points. She graduated from Harvard Business School with High Distinction as a George F. Baker Scholar, UNC-Chapel Hill with High Honors as a Master of Accounting, and Wake Forest University summa cum laude.
COACH BROOKE: Coach Brooke is the Commissioner, Head Speed & Agility Coach, and an Age Group Head Coach for HUSEL Hockey Club. Brooke played at UMaine 04-08 and was an All-American in Strength and Conditioning. Always an excellent student, Brooke received both America East Conference Academic Honors and the UMaine Scholar/Athlete Awards in 2006, 2007, and 2008. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and earned her Master’s degree in Exercise Science from George Washington University in 2011. She served as an Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at Harvard 08-09, Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at George Washington University 09-11, and Full Time Strength and Conditioning Coach at GW 11-12.
COACH MARY: Coach Mary was a two-time All-Big Ten and three-time Regional All-American field hockey player at the University of Iowa and was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year her senior year. While at Iowa, her teams advanced to two Final Fours and were undefeated in Big Ten play in two seasons, including her final season as captain when they finished the regular season ranked second in the nation.
Following her playing career, Coach Mary served as assistant field hockey coach at Harvard (1997-99) and the University of Virginia (1999-2002), where she helped lead UVA to three-straight NCAA tournament appearances. She currently serves as an assistant varsity coach at McLean High School.
Coach Mary is an ACE-certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Through her business, Connect Team Fitness, she has applied a team-oriented approach to training and fitness for adults, kids and athletes from a range of sports, including softball, lacrosse, volleyball, soccer and field hockey.
COACH AMBER: Amber Beaudoin is one of the premier field hockey coaches in Virginia. With over 230 wins and multiple conference championships, she is a 5-time Coach of the Year and is highly recognized as the Fairfax County Women in Sports Coach of the Year. Since 2001, she has led Fairfax High School to 9x Concorde District Championships, multiple regional championships, undefeated seasons, and the State tournament. Amber has also been instrumental in youth field hockey development in the area serving as Director of Field Hockey with FPYC since 2007. She is a Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Coach with USA Field Hockey and graduated from the University of Virginia.
COACH ANDERSON: MacKenzie Anderson graduated from Fairfax High School where she played 4 years of varsity field hockey as a Goalkeeper and was awarded All-Region honors. She is in her second year as a coach at Fairfax High School.
COACH DAVENPORT: Lindsey is our Head Goalkeeper Coach at HUSEL Hockey Club. Lindsey Davenport has been the JV Head coach and Varsity Assistant at Chantilly High School for over four seasons. She was a four-year starter for the Wilkes University Colonels, serving as a two year captain and 3 year First Team MAC Team Selection, MAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team MAC selection. She holds one of the top shutout and goals against average at Wilkes. Lindsey also trained with the USA field hockey Pennsylvania High Performance team.
